Early today, the U.S. Department of Justice announced that California, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania and Washington joined the department’s lawsuit against the AT&ampT/T-Mobile merger. Sprint was speedy to respond on the news saying,

“Soon after a comprehensive review of the details connected to AT&ampT’s proposed takeover of T-Mobile, seven state attorneys general have reached the identical conclusion as the U.S. Department of Justice: This proposed takeover violates antitrust law and would harm consumers, competitors and our nation’s economic climate. This is a powerful stand for American shoppers, and Sprint commends this bipartisan group of state attorneys basic for joining with the U.S. Justice Department to safeguard consumers, competitors and American jobs.”

California, represent! This is good news for all these against the merger. I, personally would like somewhere inexpensive to take my five lines in case Sprint keeps raising costs (T-Mobile).
